rava kesari is one of the famous south indian sweet.Here i have made kesari with beetroot…which have same taste of traditional kesari and a good colour…
STEP BY STEP PICTORIAL
Instructions
- Grate the beetroot, grind it in mixer extract beetroot juice out of it and keep it aside
- Dry roast Sooji / Rava and keep it aside
- Put ghee in a pan and roast Cashew nuts, raisins and keep it aside
- Take 2 cups of water and one cups of beetroot juice and pour it in a heavy pan and let it boil
- Put 2 tbsp of ghee to it
- Then add sugar, pinch of salt and wait till bubbles come out.
- Now add roasted rava slowly and gently to the pan and mix well.
- Sprinkle cardamom powder mix well. Cover lid & cut off heat then leave it for min. Then add ghee mix well.
- Garnish with raisins, and Cashew nuts then serve hot
